For this step, the figure shows a new Oracle Identity Management instance on cluster node 1 and cluster node 2 (the instance runs on cluster node 2 only on failover). The instance is associated with the OracleAS Metadata Repository running on the cold failover cluster database. The Oracle home for this instance is on the shared storage.
The Oracle HTTP Server, OracleAS Single Sign-On, and Oracle Delegated Administration Services components of this new instance are clustered with the same components on the source Oracle Identity Management instance.
The figure shows the topology up to this point. The topology now includes the following:
Microsoft Cluster Server and Oracle Fail Safe installed on each node in the cluster
Oracle home for the OracleAS Metadata Repository cold failover cluster database on the local storage of each node in the cluster
Data files for the cold failover cluster database on the shared storage
Data transfer from the source OracleAS Metadata Repository to the cold failover cluster database
OracleAS Metadata Repository on the cold failover cluster database associated with Oracle Fail Safe
Source Oracle Identity Management instance associated with the OracleAS Metadata Repository running on the cold failover cluster database
