The figure shows two flows for OracleAS Reports Services.

In one flow, the client is a Web client. In this case, the Web client sends a request for OracleAS Reports Services using a URL and the request is handled by these components: Oracle HTTP Server (which contains mod_oc4j) to an OC4J instance running the Reports servlet to a Reports Server to a Reports Engine, which connects to a database.

In the other flow, the client is rwclient, a command-line client for OracleAS Reports Services. In this case, the flow goes from rwclient to the Reports Server to the Reports Engine, which connects to a database.
