This guide describes how to run the Oracle Application Server Metadata Repository Creation Assistant tool ("OracleAS Metadata Repository Creation Assistant"), which enables you to load OracleAS Metadata Repository into an existing database. You can also use the OracleAS Metadata Repository Creation Assistant to register OracleAS Metadata Repository with Oracle Internet Directory.
This guide is intended for database administrators. You need to be able to log in to your database as the SYS user. Steps that you might need to perform include changing the value of database initialization parameters, backing up schemas and tablespaces, and restarting the database.
