<rw:style>

The rw:style tag provides a placeholder for style information, such as specification of a style sheet, that is inserted by the Report Wizard and used to format report data. It can optionally be used in conjunction with the rw:dataArea tag. The rw:style tag is used during the report design process when the JSP page is created, and has no effect at runtime.

Syntax

<rw:style id="style_id">
   [tag body]
</rw:style>

Attribute Value

Description

style_id

A mandatory attribute uniquely identifying the tag within the template JSP file (rwTemplates.xml).

Example

This example shows the use of the rw:style tag, which essentially just wraps a <link> tag:

<rw:style id="pageStyle">
  <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/rwbeige.css" type="text/css">
</rw:style>

At runtime, the rw:style tag has no effect, and the body of the tag is simply evaluated and returned. In the preceding example, the output would be:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/rwbeige.css" type="text/css">
