Page Numbering dialog box

The Page Numbering dialog box defines how page numbers are calculated for fields that have a Source of Page Number, Panel Number, Physical Page Number, Total Pages, Total Panels, or Total Physical Pages.

This dialog box contains:

Include

Indicates which report sections are used to compute the report page numbers. You can check Header Section, Main Section, Trailer Section, or some combination of choices. The default is all sections checked, implying that all sections of the report should be included in computing page numbers.

Start at

Is a number from 1 through 32K that should be used for the first page on which the field is formatted. The default is 1, implying that numbering should begin with 1.

Increment by

Is a number from 1 through 32K by which to increment for each page. The default is 1, implying that the page number should be incremented by 1 for each new page.

Reset at

Is when to reset the page number to the initial value specified in Start At. Reset at has a list of values that includes &Report, &Section, and all enclosing repeating frames. The default is &Report, implying that the page number only be reset to the Start at value once at the beginning of the report. When a repeating frame is specified, the page number will be reset to the Start at value for each instance of the repeating frame.
