Mail dialog box

The Mail dialog box enables you to specify the recipients and subject line for your e-mail report. In Oracle Reports, e-mail distribution of reports is based on the Internet e-mail standard SMTP protocol.

This dialog box contains:

From

Specifies the sender's e-mail address (for example, tom.smith@oracle.com, or Tom Smith <tom.smith@oracle.com>).

To

Specifies the e-mail address of the recipient of the e-mail.

CC

Specifies the e-mail address of alternate recipients of the e-mail in the form of a copy.

BCC

Specifies the e-mail address of alternate recipients of the e-mail in the form of a blind copy.

Reply To

Specifies a reply to e-mail address, in case this needs to be different from the From address.

Subject

Specifies the subject of the e-mail.

Specifies the format of the report:

PDF

Specifies PDF format, which can be read by a PDF viewer. PDF output is based upon the currently configured printer for your system. The drivers for the currently selected printer is used to produce the output; you must have a printer configured for the machine on which you are running the report.
 

HTML

Specifies HTML format, which can be read by an HTML 3.0 compliant browser.

 

HTMLCSS

Specifies HTML format, which can be read by an HTML 3.0 compliant browser that supports cascading style sheets.

 

XML

Specifies XML format, which can read by an XML-supporting browser, or your choice of XML viewing application.

 

RTF

Specifies RTF format, which can be read by standard word processors (such as Microsoft Word).

  Text Specifies character (ASCII) format, which can be sent to any Internet standard protocol SMTP e-mail system.
  Delimited Specifies specifies a delimited format that uses a known delimiter, such as a comma or a semi colon, which can be read by standard spreadsheet utilities, such as Microsoft Excel; the default delimiter is a TAB.
  DelimitedData Same as Delimited; used when running large volume reports.
