REP-1421: '<program unit name>': Trying to manipulate column of wrong type in <procedure name>.

Cause:

The datatype of the column whose name you passed to a packaged procedure is not the correct datatype for the packaged procedure (for example, the packaged procedure was expecting a column of Character datatype and you passed it a column of another datatype).

Action:

Debug the PL/SQL that references packaged procedures and ensure that you are passing the packaged procedure the name of a column of the correct datatype. Also check the syntax of the packaged procedure to ensure that you are referencing it properly. For more information about PL/SQL packaged procedures, see the online help.
