XML glossary

Morphis Wireless Abstract XML (WAX)

WAX is an XML-based language and tool set in development by the maker of the Morphis open source wireless content transcoder. The WAX environment is used to save development time by creating pages and applications that will deliver content to various browsers and devices in a format they can understand and display correctly.

XML Schemas

Are an XML language for describing and constraining the content of XML documents. XML Schemas are currently in the Candidate Recommendation phase of the W3C development process. See http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2000/11/29/schemas/part1.html.

XSL

A language for expressing stylesheets, it consists of two parts:

An XSL stylesheet specifies the presentation of a class of XML documents by describing how an instance of the class is transformed into an XML document that uses the formatting vocabulary.

XSLT

Extensible stylesheet language transformation (XSLT) allows you to change the format of the data.
