Use the Dimensions panel to qualify dimensions for a query. Use the Available Members tab to select one or more members for a dimension. Use the Selected Steps tab to view, modify, reorder or remove steps for a dimension.
Choose box -- Specifies the dimension for which to select members.
From box -- Specifies the name of the hierarchy to use for the dimension. This box is not available if the dimension has no hierarchies.
Available Members tab -- Displays a list of available members for the specified dimension and hierarchy and includes the following buttons.
Collapse all button -- Collapses all available members to the highest hierarchical level. This button is available only when a hierarchy is specified in the From box.
Expand all button -- Expands all available members to the lowest hierarchical level. This button is available only when a hierarchy is specified in the From box.
Find button -- Displays the Find Members dialog box, which allows you to search for particular items in the list of available members.
Add selected items button -- Adds the highlighted available members to the Selected Steps tab as a single member step. New steps are added to the end of the list of selected steps.
Add all items button -- Adds all available members to the Selected Steps tab as one step. New steps are added to the end of the list of selected steps.
Remove selected items button -- Removes the highlighted steps from the Selected Steps tab.
Remove all items button -- Clears the Selected Steps tab.
Selected Steps tab -- Displays the list of selected steps for a specified dimension and includes the following items.
Enabled check box -- Specifies whether the step is enabled or disabled.
Sort button -- Displays the Sort Members dialog box, which allows you to sort steps using a specified sort criterion.
Save button -- Displays the Save Selection As dialog box, which allows you to save the selected steps as a "saved selection" to the BI Beans Catalog.
Move Up button -- Moves the selected step up one position in the list of selected steps. For example, moving a step up one position in the list swaps it with the step that was before it.
Move Down button -- Moves the selected step down one position in the list of selected steps. For example, moving a step down one position in the list swaps it with the step that was after it.
