Align Objects dialog box

The Align Objects dialog box enables you to specify how to position a set of objects.

This dialog box contains:

Align To Each Other

Align the object(s) with the nearest grid snap point.

Align To Grid

Align the object with the other selected object(s).

Horizontally

Specifies how you want to align objects horizontally.

None

No horizontal alignment is used.

Align Center 

Moves the selected objects such that their horizontal midpoints line up at a midpoint among all of the selected objects.

Align Left 

Moves the selected objects such that their left sides line up with the left side of the leftmost, selected object.

Align Right 

Moves the selected objects such that their right sides line up with the right side of the rightmost, selected object.

Distribute

Moves the selected objects an equal distance apart, leaving the leftmost and rightmost objects in their original horizontal positions.

Stack

Moves the selected objects such that the left side of each object lines up with the right side of the object immediately to its left. The leftmost object retains its original position.

Vertically

None

No vertical alignment is used.

Align Top

Moves the selected objects such that their top sides line up with the top of the highest selected object.

Align Bottom

Moves the selected objects such that their bottom sides line up with the bottom of the lowest, selected object.

Align Center

Moves the selected objects such that their vertical midpoints line up at a midpoint among all of the selected objects.

Distribute

Moves the selected objects an equal distance apart, leaving the leftmost and rightmost objects in their original vertical positions.

Stack

Moves the selected objects such that the top of each object lines up with the bottom of the object immediately above it. The topmost object retains its original position.
