The Find and Replace in Program Units dialog box
enables you to perform a global search and replace across multiple program units.
It displays when you select one or more program units in the Object Navigator
and choose EditFind
and Replace in PL/SQL.
This dialog box contains:
Find What |
Is the string you want to find. If you want this string to be treated as a regular expression, select the Use Expressions check box. |
Expression |
Displays a list of regular expressions you can use in your search criteria. Click an expression to insert it in the Find what box. |
Replace With |
Type the string you want to replace the search string with. |
Use Expression |
Indicates if you are using regular expressions in your search criteria. Clear this check box if you are not using regular expressions in your search criteria. |
Match Case |
Specifies that the search be case sensitive. Clear this check box to find all matches of the search string, regardless of case. |
Look Where |
Specifies where you want to perform the search or search/replace. All nodes are selected by default. If you wish to search in a specific node only, click the node. |
Find All |
Finds all matches of the search string you specified. No replacement is performed. |
Replace All |
Replaces all matches of the search string with the replacement string you specified. A message box displays, prompting you for confirmation before the batch replacement is performed. |
Results |
Displays the occurrences of the matched string found. The location of each match is indicated by the node, program unit name, and line and column numbers of the source line. The status bar above the list box shows the number of matches found. Click a match to select it for editing or replacing. You can select more than one match. |
Replace |
Replace the search string with the replacement string in the matches selected in the Results list box only. |
Edit |
Open the source of the selected match in the PL/SQL editor. |
