Running to a Cursor Location in the Source Unit
When application execution is suspended, you can quickly resume execution
to a specific source line (cursor location) where no breakpoint has been
set. For example, you want to skip ahead to a source line and then step
line-by-line, or you want to return to an earlier statement to retest
your application using different variable values.
To run to the cursor location:
- In the Object Navigator, locate the source unit where you
wish to suspend execution.
- Double-click the icon next to the source unit name to display
the source code in the PL/SQL Editor.
- In the editor, place the cursor over the source line where
you wish to suspend execution, and display the pop-up menu (right-click in
Windows).
- Choose Run to Cursor from the pop-up menu.
The application resumes running and execution is interrupted just before the
source line where the cursor was placed.
