Creating a Main Menu

To create a main menu:

  1. Display the menu module in the Menu Editor.
The Menu Editor appears, displaying a menu called MAIN_MENU. A single item, labeled <New Item>, is highlighted.
  2. Enter a more descriptive label (e.g., Action).
  3. Add new main menu items by creating new menu objects to the right of the existing main menu item.
The Menu Editor creates items, labelled <New Item>.
  4. Replace the default labels.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to create additional main menu items.

Once you create the main menu, create individual menus by adding items below each main menu item. For each "parent" item on the main menu (such as Action, Edit, Block, etc.), you can create a list of related "child" menu items.
