About Buttons

Buttons are interface items that end users select to execute commands or initiate actions. Buttons can be used to initiate navigation, display LOVs, invoke an editor or window, commit data in a form, issue a query, or perform almost any other operation that can be coded with PL/SQL.

Oracle Forms supports two button styles: text and iconic. Text buttons are displayed with a text label on the button. Iconic buttons are displayed with a bitmapped graphic on the button and are often used in toolbars for this reason.
