Creating Line Graphics
To create rectangles, lines, ellipses, and arcs:
- In the Layout Editor, select the tool you want to use by clicking the tool
in the tool palette.
- Position the pointer where you want to start drawing the graphic.
- Click and drag until the graphic is the size you want, then release.
Note: When you create a new arc the default sweep angle is 90 degrees. You can use the Reshape tool to change the default angle.
To create polygons and polylines:
- In the Layout Editor, select the Polygon or Polyline tool.
- Position the pointer where you want the first segment to start and click
once.
- Move the pointer until the first line segment is the length and angle you
want, then click to mark the endpoint of the segment.
- Continue clicking and moving to define each segment of the polygon.
- Double-click to mark the endpoint of the last segment.
When you use the Polygon tool, Oracle Forms adds a final line segment to connect the end point to the start point.
To use the Freehand tool:
- Select the Freehand tool.
- Position the pointer where you want to start drawing.
- Click and drag to draw the desired freehand graphic.
