The Step dialog allows you to set options for stepping through suspended program unit code while debugging, and provides a graphical user interface for the Interpreter's STEP command.
Step Mode |
Specifies which Step option to use. |
INTO resumes execution until the next executable statemtent.
OVER resumes execution until the next executable statement in the current program unit, skipping over any subprogram calls.
OUT resumes execution through a nested subprogram and halts at the next executable statement in the calling program unit.
TO resumes execution until the specified location is reached.
Program Unit |
Identifies the target program unit body for the STEP TO command option. |
Line |
Identifies the location within the target program unit body for the STEP TO command option. |
Count |
Specifies the number of times the STEP command is repeated. The count defaults to one. |
Apply |

OK |
Confirms your selections, resumes program unit execution accordingly, and closes the dialog. |
Cancel |
Cancels the current operation and closes the dialog. |
