About Menu Item Commands

For every form menu item and popup menu item you create, you must set the Menu Item Type and a Command Type properties. These menu-item-level properties determine the appearance and functionality of each menu item.

The following menu item types are available:

The most common menu item type is Plain; the other menu types are used to customize the appearance and functionality of a menu.

After you select a valid menu item type, you must specify a valid command type and (sometimes) the command text for the item.

Note: In this release of Oracle Forms, Plus, Form, and Macro command types are available for backward-compatibility only. Plus, Form, and Macro command types will not be supported in the next major release of Oracle Forms.
