Checking in a File
Note: The check in and check out menu options will only be enabled if
a form is currently open in Oracle Forms.
To check in a file:
- The file that you want to check in must be open and active (selected) in
Oracle Forms.
- Save your changes to the file system.
- Select the File
| Administration | Check In.
- If prompted, log into SCM with your username, password, and connect string.
- Oracle Forms will connect with SCM, establish the work area and folder,
and upload the source file from the file system.
- If the file already exists in SCM, an alert will display. Select whether
to overwrite the file in SCM. (If the file was never checked out in the first
place, the operation will fail.)
- After the file is uploaded, select any checkin options:
- Use Branch
- Version Label (This is available for editing only if automatic version
labeling switched off.)
- Use Checkout Notes
- Check Out after Check In
- Check in Even if Unchanged
- Enter any check in notes. At this point, you can cancel the check in if
necessary.
- Click OK. The check in is complete, and the source file is set to
Read-Only.
