Type Selection Dialog

The Type Selection dialog box allows you to browse and select existing Oracle user-defined datatypes that you have access to in the currently connected database.

Type

Choose Object, Collection, or ALL to display the appropriate datatypes owned by the user name shown in the Owner drop-down list.

When defining an object type, you can select another object type or collection type as the datatype for the object.

When defining a collection type, you cannot select another collection type as the datatype for the object. The ALL option is disabled when defining a collection type.

Owner

Displays a drop-down list of the owners of the user-defined datatypes that you have access to.

Choose an owner name, or choose ALL to display the datatypes for all owners.

List box

Displays the types and names of the datatypes selected in the Type and Owner fields. Only the datatypes that you have access to are displayed.

If ALL is selected in the Owner field, each name in the list is prefixed with the schema name in dotted notation.

If ALL is selected in the Type field, each name is appended with its type in parentheses.

Click a datatype name in the list to select it.
