Setting Properties of Multiple Selections

To set the properties of multiple selections:

  1. In the Object Navigator or the editors, select the objects whose properties you want to set by using Control-click. The objects can be of different types and can even be in different documents.
  2. In the Property Palette, set the Intersection/Union toggle command to specify which properties you want to see.
  3. Set properties as desired.

Any change you make to a property setting is applied to all of the objects in the current selection to which that property applies.

Setting properties of multiple selections

A form includes several text items, each of which displays the date in a different window. The Parameter Data Type property of each text item is DATE, which causes dates to be displayed in the default ORACLE format DD-MON-YY.

To use a different date format throughout the application, you need to set the Format Mask property for each text item that displays dates. Rather than setting each text item's Format Mask property individually, select all of the items in the Object Navigator, then set the Format Mask property once to change the format mask for each item selected.
