PL/SQL Editor Commands

Compile PL/SQL Code
 
Compiles the code in the Source Code field. The compiler detects syntax errors, semantic errors, and references to non-existent objects, procedures, and functions. When you compile successfully, the status line displays the message <Successfully Compiled>.
 
Revert PL/SQL Code
 
Undoes any changes that were made to the source text since the editor was invoked or since the last Revert operation. Revert button is disabled when no changes have been made to source text.
 
Undo
 
Undoes last action.
 
Redo
 
Reapplies last action.
Indent
 
Indents one tab space.
 
Outdent
Outdents one tab space.
 
Clicking a message
 
 Moves the insertion point to the line at which an error was detected in the source code pane.
 
Name
 
Dropdown list that allows navigation to a specific trigger or program unit.
 
Type
 
Dropdown list that allows selecting of program unit, trigger, or menu item code.
 
Object
 
Dropdown list that allows navigation among objects within the scope determined by Type. For example, if you select Trigger, then the first dropdown list displays a list of blocks, and the second dropdown list shows a list of items inside that block.
 
Message Pane
Displays compilation messages if an error occurs when you compile the current program unit.
 
Status Bar
 
Displays status information about the current code object. The <Not Modified | Modified> lamp indicates whether unsaved changes are pending. The <Not Compiled | Successfully Compiled | Compiled with Errors> lamp indicates the current compilation status.
