Creating an LOV

To create an LOV using the LOV Wizard:

  1. In the Object Navigator, click the LOVs node.
  2. Click Create in the toolbar.
  3. In the New LOV dialog, choose Use the LOV Wizard.

Note: You can use the LOV Wizard to create an LOV based on an existing query record group, a new query record group (which you will create during the Wizard process), or an existing static record group. If you need to create an LOV based on a new static record group, first create the new static record group, and then use the LOV Wizard to create the LOV.

To create an LOV manually:

  1. In the Object Navigator, click the LOVs node.
  2. Click Create in the toolbar.
  3. In the New LOV dialog, choose Build a new LOV manually.
A new, generically-named LOV is created and displayed in the Object Navigator.
  4. In the Object Navigator, double-click the object icon beside the new LOV to display the Property Palette.
  5. Use the Property Palette to set the desired properties for the new LOV.
