Text Drawing Options Dialog

Description:

The Text Drawing Options dialog allows you to set the options which affect the display of text objects.

Fixed Bounding Box

When checked, the bounding box of a text object can be sized independently of the text it contains if the Scalable Bounding Box check box is checked. When unchecked, the bounding box of a text object changes size only to fit the text.

Horizontal Origin

Specifies how text objects are aligned horizontally (At Left, At Center, or At Right).

Invisible Text

Determines whether the text in a text object is visible or hidden.

Scalable Bounding Box

Determines whether the bounding box of text objects can be resized. This option is disabled when the Fixed Bounding Box check box is unchecked.

When the Scalable Bounding Box option is checked, you can create text objects with the text tool by clicking and dragging until the bounding box is the desired size. Text entered in text mode wraps as required to keep the text within the bounding box.

Scalable Fonts

Determines whether the text in a text object is scaled proportionately when the object itself is resized.

Vertical Origin

Specifies how text objects are aligned vertically (At Top, At Center, or At Bottom).

Wraparound

When the Fixed Bounding Box check box is checked, the Wraparound option determines whether text in a text object wraps to the next line to fit within the bounding box.

Usage Note

The text drawing options are applied to the currently selected text objects and become the defaults for text objects that are subsequently created.
