Creating an LOV Column Title
To create a column title:
- Select the LOV in the Object Navigator.
- Select Tools | LOV Wizard.
- Click the Column Display tab at the top of the
Wizard.
- All columns in the LOV are Listed in the table. Change the Title value for
the column to the desired column title.
or
- In the Object Navigator LOVs node, double-click
the object icon beside the desired LOV to display the Property Palette.
- Under the Functional node, double-click on Column
Mapping Properties. The LOV Column Mapping dialog appears.
- Select the desired column in the Column Names List and then enter the desired
title in the Column Title property field.
Tip: When creating
titles, consider the column's display width. Oracle Forms truncates a title
that does not fit in the display width reserved for the values in that column.
(Remember that changing the font size of the LOV text can change the number
of characters that fit in a given display width.)
