About Standards

You can use Oracle Forms to define and distribute application standards.

Standards ensure quality and a consistent look and feel within an application. Standards also allow a team of developers to be more productive. Developers working on one part of an application can create and test objects which can be easily reused in another part of the application with little or no modification. To reuse a standard object, simply drag the desired object from the Object Library to the desired module.

When you create a standard, you perform these steps:

  1. Define standards.
  2. Within Oracle Forms, create objects that conform to standards.
  3. Store standard objects in the Object Library.
  4. Distribute standards to developers.
