Creating Line Graphics

To create rectangles, lines, ellipses, and arcs:

  1. In the Layout Editor, select the tool you want to use by clicking the tool in the tool palette.
  2. Position the pointer where you want to start drawing the graphic.
  3. Click and drag until the graphic is the size you want, then release.

Note: When you create a new arc the default sweep angle is 90 degrees. You can use the Reshape tool to change the default angle.

To create polygons and polylines:

  1. In the Layout Editor, select the Polygon or Polyline tool.
  2. Position the pointer where you want the first segment to start and click once.
  3. Move the pointer until the first line segment is the length and angle you want, then click to mark the endpoint of the segment.
  4. Continue clicking and moving to define each segment of the polygon.
  5. Double-click to mark the endpoint of the last segment.

When you use the Polygon tool, Oracle Forms adds a final line segment to connect the end point to the start point.

To use the Freehand tool:

  1. Select the Freehand tool.
  2. Position the pointer where you want to start drawing.
  3. Click and drag to draw the desired freehand graphic.
