About Check and Radio Item Commands

Commands are optional for check and radio menu items.

If you wish to assign a command to a check or radio item, follow the same procedure you use to assign commands to a menu item of type Plain. Oracle Forms executes commands when the item's state or value is changed:

To create a check or radio item that does not execute a command, you must set the item's Command Type property to Null. Use a Null Command Type (and empty Command Text) for a check or radio item that allows end users to define an operating mode or set a context for operations in the application. For example, a group of radio items might allow end users to specify the level of detail they want to see when querying data in a block.
