Description of the illustration esb1.eps

This figure shows two nodes fronted by a load balancer. Each node contains two Oracle homes:

Oracle_Home_1 runs Oracle HTTP Server, J2EE, and ESB Repository Server. The ESB Repository Server is connected to an Oracle Database that contains the ORAESB schema.
Oracle_Home_2 runs Oracle HTTP Server, J2EE, and ESB Runtime Server.

On Host 1, the ESB Repository Server is active, while on Host 2, the ESB Repository Server is passive. On both nodes the ESB Runtime Server is active.
