Modifying Loyalty Promotions

If you have already activated a promotion and you want to modify the promotion while keeping it active, use the Modify button.

After you click Modify, the promotion appears to be inactive and its fields and information become read-write again. The original promotion continues to apply to members' transaction until the promotion is activated again.

The original promotion remains in the cache, but changes you make are not loaded into the cache while you modify the promotion. Changes are loaded in the cache when you click Activate, making these changes apply.

This feature allows you to make changes to a promotion that is already been activated without any down time when the promotion does not apply.

To modify a promotion

1. Navigate to the Loyalty Promotions Administration screen.
2. In the promotions list, select the Promotion to be modified.
3. Click Modify.
4. Enter any data that is necessary to change the promotion, as described in Process of Creating Loyalty Promotions.
5. Click Activate.
