Creating a Status Report for a Project
End users may want to create a project status report summarizing the project's progress, forecast, and issues. End users can incorporate any project risk issues into the status report. The following procedure explains how to create a status report. To create a status report
- Navigate to the Projects screen.
- From the visibility filter, select the appropriate view.
- Drill down on the Name field hyperlink for a selected project record for which you want a status report.
- Click the Status Report view tab.
- In the Status Report list, create a new record.
- Complete the necessary fields.
Some fields are described in the following table.

Status |
Current status of the project. Choose from Green, Yellow, and Red. |
Stage |
What stage is the project in. For example, Implementation or Validation. |
Forecast Finish |
Finish date projected by current schedule or by project manager. |
Forecast Cost |
Cost projected by current schedule or by project manager. |
Forecast Fee Overrun |
The amount a project is forecast to run over the fee limit. The value is equal to Forecast Cost minus Fee Limit. |
Forecast Overrun Days |
The number of days the project is forecast to run over the targeted project end date. The value is equal to Forecast Finish minus Project End Date. |
Plan Variance |
Amount the project is forecast to run over the initial projected cost. The value is equal to Forecast Cost minus Planned Total Cost. |
Planned Total Cost |
Cost based on initial project schedule. |
Reporting Status |
Status of the current report. For example, In Progress, On Hold, or Done. |
Fee Limit |
Maximum amount of money to be charged for the project. The value comes from the Fee Limit field in the project record. |
