Siebel Installation Guide for UNIX: Servers, Mobile Web Clients, Tools > Installing the ChartWorks Server >

Changing the ChartWorks Server for a Web Client

The installation script prompts for the ChartWorks server location and provides the default value of the localhost. You can change the ChartWorks Server specified for an Enterprise by using the Server Administration UI after you install client applications.

To specify the ChartWorks Server for Web clients

  1. Log in as the Siebel Administrator.
  2. Choose Navigate > Site Map > Administration - Server Configuration > Enterprises.
  3. Click the Profile Configuration view tab.
  4. Select the named subsystem, Server Datasource (ServerDataSrc).
  5. In the Profile Parameters list at the bottom of the screen, set the value of the parameter DSChartServer to the name of the machine on which you are running the ChartWorks Server. This parameter specifies the ChartWorks connect string.

You initially specify the ChartWorks connect string when you configure the Siebel Server, as described in Installing and Configuring the Siebel Server.

  6. Set the value of the parameter DSChartImageFormat to png, jpg, or gif. The default is png.

You initially specify the chart image format when you configure the Siebel Server, as described in Installing and Configuring the Siebel Server.

NOTE:  For a Siebel Mobile Web Client, set the equivalent parameter, ChartImageFormat, in the configuration file for the Siebel application, such as uagent.cfg for Siebel Call Center.
