Reviewing the Installation for the Siebel Database Server
Review the directory structure created by the Siebel Database Server installation, as illustrated in this section. The example that follows results from performing a Custom installation. The Siebel Database Server is installed in the DBSRVR_ROOT directory within the Siebel Server root directory you specified during the installation; by default, it is installed in D:\sea78\dbsrvr. The DBSRVR_ROOT directory contains the following subdirectories:
BIN. Contains files for internal use. COMMON. Contains database platform-independent files. DB_SERVER (DB2UDB, ORACLE, or MSSQL). Contains scripts specific to your database, including upgrade scripts for previous versions of Siebel applications. |

SIEBPROC (DB2 UDB only). Contains User Defined Functions (UDFs) and stored procedures for DB2 UDB for UNIX and Windows, by OS platform. See also Installing the Stored Procedures and User-Defined Functions on DB2 UDB. |

SQLPROC (DB2 UDB only). Contains subdirectories that contain the binary files required to install stored procedures. These stored procedures perform data migration as part of an upgrade. |

UPGRADE. Directories containing files to enable upgrading from specific versions of Siebel Business Applications that are supported for upgrade to the current release. |
LANGUAGE. Contains language- and database-specific files for the ancestor repository and supporting files. For example, ENU would contain language-specific U.S. English files, and DEU would contain German-language-specific files. FILES. This directory contains sample file attachments and is created if you install Sample File Attachments. These files should be copied to the appropriate subdirectory of the Siebel File System. See Populating the Siebel File System. LOCALE. Contains translation files for the Upgrade Wizard. For use by Siebel Systems only. PE60. Files used for uploading data from Siebel Sales Personal Edition. |
