B Appendix: Enabling Cross Domain Security Trust between Weblogic Servers Domains

With RIC and RSB deployed on two separate WLS Domain, you need to establish trust between domains for principals in one Webogic domain to make calls to other Webogic domains. The recommended approach for establishing Trust is enabling Cross Domain Security.

Configuring Cross-Domain Security

To configure cross-domain security in a WebLogic domain, set the SecurityConfigurationMBean.CrossDomainSecurityEnabled attribute to true. To do this in the WebLogic Server Administration Console, Go to Weblogic Domain and do the following:

  1. Click the name of the domain in the Domain Configurations section of the Home page.

  2. Select Security > General.

  3. Click Lock & Edit Session and Check Cross Domain Security Enabled.

  4. Click Advanced, enter the desired password in Credential and Confirm Credential fields, then click Save.

  5. Click Activate Changes.

  6. Restart Weblogic Servers.

Repeat this configuration change on both the RSB and Tools domains (where RIC is deployed) using same password value.
