Performing Database Schema Updates

This section provides special instructions for updating a Siebel database schema using Siebel Anywhere. Typical database schema changes include:

• Adding extension columns to Siebel base tables

  NOTE:  Due to a technical limitation in the Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere product, you cannot use Siebel Database Schema Upgrade Kits to add required, non-null extension columns to existing local database tables. If you make this kind of database change, you must deploy it by reextracting your Mobile Web Client users, rather than using a schema upgrade kit.
