Applying Discount Percentages to Quotes, Functions, Room Blocks, and Line Items

You may apply a discount percentage to each line item, room block, function, and quote. Discounts are applied as follows:

• Line item discount percentages are only applied to line items.
• Function discount percentages are applied to functions and function line items.
• Room Block discount percentages are applied to room block and room block line items.
• Quote discounts are applied to quotes, functions, room blocks and line items.

If you apply a discount at each level, the line item discount is applied to the item first, then the function or room block discount is applied (as appropriate), and finally the quote discount is applied.

To apply a discount percentage to a function or its line items

1. Navigate to the Quotes screen > Quotes List view.
2. In the Quotes list, query for and select the required quote record.
3. Click the link in the Name field, and then click the Functions tab.
4. In the Functions list, select the required function, and do the following as required:
   • Enter an appropriate value in the Discount % field for the function.
   • Scroll down to the Line Items tab, select the required function line item, and enter an appropriate value in the Discount % field for the line item.

To apply a discount percentage to a room block or its line items

1. Navigate to the Quotes screen > Quotes List view.
2. In the Quotes list, query for and select the required quote record.
3. Click the link in the Name field, and then click the Room Blocks tab.
4. In the Room Blocks list, select the required room block, and do the following as required:
   • Enter an appropriate value in the Discount % field for the room block.
   • Scroll down to the Room Block Line Items tab, select the required room block line item, and enter an appropriate value in the Discount Percent field for the line item.

To apply a discount percentage to a quote

1. Navigate to the Quotes screen > Quotes list view.
2. In the Quotes list, query for and select the required quote.
3. On the Quote form, click the Show More button, and scroll down to the Discount Information section of the form.
4. Enter an appropriate percentage value in the Discount field for the quote.
