Siebel Partner Web Services

The webMethods products included with Siebel Partner Web Services and Siebel Tools for Partner Web Services are licensed only for use in combination with the Siebel programs, such that communications that use the webMethods products must include communication with a Siebel Program. Application-to-application integration using the webMethods products included with Siebel Partner Web Services and Siebel Tools for Partner Web Services that does not include communication with a Siebel program is prohibited.

Installing Siebel Partner Web Services Servers

Begin the installation process by installing the core server components of Siebel Partner Web Services, which includes:

• webMethods Integration Server
• webMethods Trading Networks Server
• webMethods Business Integrator Service Package

Install these servers in the order listed above.

Brief instructions for installing on each platform are given below. For more information, see the Siebel Business Applications Third-Party Bookshelf.

Installing Under MS Windows

For the Windows platform, the installations for the webMethods Server processes are located on the Windows Server Ancillary Programs (CD 3 of 3).

To install Siebel Partner Web Services Servers under MS Windows

1. Install the webMethods Integration Server by running the executable IntegrationServer46_en_US.exe, located in the directory Thirdparty\webmethods\<lang>\integration_server\server.
   • If you are installing at your site, you are prompted for your license key. You should enter your Hub license key.
   • If your partners are installing the server at their sites, they are prompted for a license key. They should enter the Partner license key.
2. Install the Trading Networks Server by running the executable TNServer46_en_US.exe in the directory Thirdparty\webmethods\<lang>\trading_networks\server.
3. Install the Business Integrator Service Package by running the executable BusinessIntegrator_46_Services_en_US.exe in the directory Thirdparty\webmethods\<lang>\business_integrator directory.

Installing on a Solaris Platform

For the Solaris Platform, the webMethods Server processes are located on Solaris Server Ancillary Programs (CD 2 of 2).

The installation process and directory structure for Solaris are the same as for the Windows platform. However, the installation files are JAR files instead of Windows executables.

Installing on an AIX Platform

For the AIX Platform, the installations for the webMethods Server processes are located on the AIX Server Ancillary Programs (CD 2 of 2).

The installation process and directory structure for AIX is the same as for the Windows platform. However, the installation files are JAR files instead of Windows executables.
