Changing the Queue a Mobile Web Client Uses

From time to time, you may need to modify queue manager information for one or more users. For example, this can happen if an employee transfers to an office that is served by a different queue manager, or if your organization adopts a new network domain name. In these cases, complete the steps in the following procedure.

To change which queue a Mobile Web Client uses for Store-and-Forward Messaging

  1. Make sure that there are no pending messages in the inbound or outbound queues on either the client or the server.
  2. On the server, navigate to Administration - Siebel Remote > Mobile Clients.
  3. In the Parent Server form, use standard query techniques to select the server that the Mobile Web Client communicates with.
  4. In the Mobile Clients list, find the record for the client that you are assigning to a new queue.
  5. In the SAF Queue Subsystem field, enter the name of the new subsystem for the client.
  6. Reextract the local database for the client.

For more information, see Siebel Remote and Replication Manager Administration Guide.

  7. Edit the client's .cfg files as needed to specify the new queue name.

For more information, see Setting SMQ Values for the Mobile Web Client.
