Siebel Gateway Name Server Authentication

This section provides an overview of Siebel Gateway Name Server Authentication. All of the server and client side executables that connect to the Gateway Name Server, including the Siebel Server, pass a user name and password to the Gateway Name Server for authentication. Setup of this service is done at the time of installation and requires no additional configuration unless, for instance, you change a data source, or chose to use a different means of authentication than that specified during installation. Configuration changes like these are made in the namesrvr.cfg file located in the gtewysrvr/bin sub-directory of the Siebel Gateway Name Server installation. For more information on installation and configuration of the Gateway Name Server, see the Siebel Installation Guide for the operating system you are using.
