Setting the Number of Automatic Siebel Analytics Web Catalog Backups

Siebel Analytics Web automatically performs backups of the Web Catalog. The internal default is 10 backups. You can override the default by modifying the Windows registry or the Siebel Analytics Web configuration file instanceconfig.xml to add the following entry. The minimum value is 3.

Automatic backups are identified by nnn.autosave appended to the Web Catalog name, where nnn represents the sequential number assigned to the backup.

• Windows registry example:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Siebel Systems, Inc.\Siebel Analytics\Web\7.7

  CatalogMaxAutoSaves     "20"

• instanceconfig.xml example:

  <CatalogMaxAutoSaves>20</CatalogMaxAutoSaves>
