Upgrade Guide for DB2 UDB for z/OS and OS/390 > Preparing a Production Environment for Upgrade >

Importing the Development Repository and Schema Definition

Upgrades: All upgrades.

Environments: Production environment only.

To import the development repository and schema definition

  1. Navigate to your development environment's DBSRVR_ROOT\PLATFORM directory (this may be either DB2 UDB or DB2 UDB for z/OS).
  2. Copy the following files that were created during your development environment upgrade:
    • custrep.dat
    • schema.ddl
  3. Place these files in the DBSRVR_ROOT\PLATFORM directory for your production environment.

The custrep.dat file will be used by the Siebel Upgrade Wizard to import the New Customer Repository. The schema.ddl file will be used by the Siebel Upgrade Wizard to create the new database schema.

NOTE:  If you made any changes after performing your development environment upgrade and before your production environment upgrade, you need to export your modified repository (custrep.dat) and your modified schema definition (schema.ddl) to your production environment.
