Creating New Display Templates for Categories

You create and edit display templates in Siebel Tools, and then add them to the Siebel eSales application using your employee application's administration screens.

Use the following process to create a new display template:

• Create a category detail view.
• Add the view to the Siebel eSales Catalog screen.
• Create drilldown objects for the view.
• Edit its Web layout.
• Add it to the Siebel eSales application.

NOTE:  You must also add the view to the appropriate responsibilities, for example Siebel Administrator and Web Registered User.

The example shown in this section uses a display template called Product New, which uses a view called Product Catalog Category New Detail View (eSales).
