Changing the System Variables
After installing Siebel Analytics and the Siebel Data Warehouse, you may need to change system variables as necessary.
To change the data warehouse system variables
- From the Administrator Workstation, navigate to Control Panel > System.
- Click the Advanced tab, then click Environment Variables.
- In System variables section, click New.
- Create the system variable name.
- For Oracle databases:
- In the OLAP, run the command
SELECT * FROM V$NLS_PARAMETERS
- Mark the NLS_LANG [NLS_LANGUAGE]_[NLS_TERRITORY].[NLS_CHARACTERSET].
For example:American_America.UTF8
- In the Variable Value field, enter NLS_LANG.
- For DB2 databases:
- In Variable Name field, enter DB2CODEPAGE.
- In Variable Value field, enter 1208.
- Click OK to close.
- Reboot the machine after creating the variables.
