Managing the Charting Settings for Siebel Analytics Web

During the installation process, the registry key \Siebel Systems, Inc.\Siebel Analytics\Web\7.5\Charts is created for the charting function. The Siebel Analytics Web administrator can create the following three registry entries under this key to change certain Siebel Analytics Web charting settings from their internal default entries.

If these registry entries are not created, the internal default entries shown for each entry are used. The following examples show how the entries appear in the Windows environment.

This entry, when created, overrides the internal default entry for the location used by Siebel Analytics Web as temporary storage for chart cache. The internal default is dirletter:\SiebelAnalyticsData\Temp\nQWCharts, where dirletter is the drive where the Siebel Analytics Web software is installed.

The location should be a fully-qualified path name, such as d:\usr\SiebelWebChartCache. The folder structure must exist before you start Siebel Analytics Web again.

CacheDirectory

This entry, when created, overrides the default interactive behavior of Siebel Analytics Web charts. Valid entries are Drill, Navigate and None. The default is Drill. This means that charts are created drillable by default.

If the entry is set to Navigate, charts are set up for navigation to the entry of Charts\DefaultNavigationPath. If the entry is set to None, charts are non-interactive; for example, clicking on a chart or chart region does nothing.

DefaultInteraction

If the entry of Charts\DefaultInteraction is set to Navigate, this entry overrides the default URL to which charts will navigate. The internal default URL is http://www.siebel.com/.

If the entry of Charts\DefaultInteraction is not Navigate, this entry is ignored.
