Setting Permissions Through the Administration Page

You can change permissions to catalog items through the Administration page of Siebel Analytics Web.

To change permissions for a shared dashboard

In Siebel Answers, either:
Click the Admin hyperlink and then the Manage Intelligence Dashboards hyperlink.
Click the Manage button in the selection pane.
In the row of the dashboard for which you want to change permissions, click the Permissions icon.

The Change Item Permissions page appears.

In the access control list, select a user or group and click the corresponding hyperlink to toggle through the types of permissions.
Click the Replace permissions with parent folder's permissions hyperlink, if appropriate.
Select either or both:
Apply permissions to subfolders check box
Apply permissions to items within folder check box
Click Finished.
In the Manage Dashboards page, click Finished.

To change permissions for a dashboard page

In Siebel Answers, either:
Click the Admin hyperlink and then the Manage Intelligence Dashboards hyperlink.
Click the Manage button in the selection pane.
In the row of the dashboard for which you want to change permissions, click the Properties icon.
In the Existing Pages area, identify the page and click the associated Security icon.
In the access control list, select a user or group and click the corresponding hyperlink to toggle through the types of permissions.
Click the Replace permissions with parent folder's permissions hyperlink, if appropriate.
Select either or both:
Apply permissions to subfolders check box
Apply permissions to items within folder check box
Click Finished, and then click either Yes or Yes All to confirm the override of permissions.
In the Dashboard Properties page, click Finished.
In the Manage Dashboards page, click Finished.

To change permissions for a shared catalog item

In Siebel Answers, either:
Click the Admin hyperlink and then the Manage Analytics Catalog hyperlink.
Click the Manage button in the selection pane.
Click the Shared Folder hyperlink to make sure you are working with shared folders.
Click a folder hyperlink and drill down to the relevant item.
In the row of the relevant catalog item, click the Permissions icon.

The access control list for the item appears.

Identify the user or group that has explicit access to this item and whose permission you want to change.
Click the hyperlink next to the group or user until the permission that you want to assign appears.
Click Finished.
In the Confirm Override of Permissions section, click Yes to confirm.
