Generating Preventive Maintenance Activities


Use the following procedures to generate preventive maintenance activities (actions).

To run PM plans for an asset

  1. Navigate to the Assets screen.
  2. Select an asset.
  3. Click the Preventive Maintenance view tab.
  4. From the Show drop-down list, select Plans.
  5. Create a new record to associate a preventive maintenance plan to the selected asset.
  6. In the Assets view bar, complete the End Date field.
  7. This is the latest date that the PM Engine considers when generating PM actions. The field defaults to the current date and can be set to any date in the future.

  8. Do one of the following:

To review generated PM actions

  1. Navigate to Site Map > Preventive Maintenance.
  2. The Plans view appears.

  3. Select a PM plan.
  4. Click the History view tab.
  5. The History list displays the PM actions for this plan.

To review generated PM actions for an asset

  1. Navigate to the Assets screen.
  2. Select an asset.
  3. Click the Preventive Maintenance view tab.
  4. From the Show drop-down list, select History.
  5. The History list displays the PM actions generated for this asset and the plans that initiated the actions.
