Setting Up Solutions
Use the Solution Administration screen to provide the information that can provide immediate solutions to requests for service.
To add a solution
- Navigate to Site Map > Solution Administration.
- Create a new solution record.
- Enter values for the required fields.
To add a resolution document to a solution
- Navigate to Site Map > Solution Administration.
- In the Solutions list, select a solution.
- Click the Resolution Documents view tab.
- In the Resolution Documents list, create a new resolution document record.
- In the File Name field, navigate to an electronic document file on your computer or on your company's network, and select it.
To associate solutions with each other
- Navigate to Site Map > Solution Administration.
- In the Solutions list, select a solution.
- Click the Related Solutions view tab.
- In the Related Solutions list, add a related solution record.
To associate a service request with a solution
- Navigate to Site Map > Solution Administration.
- In the Solutions list, select a solution.
- Click the Service Requests view tab.
- Add a service request record.
To associate a change request with a solution
- Navigate to Site Map > Solution Administration.
- In the Solutions list, select a solution.
- Click the Change Requests view tab.
- Add a change request record.
