Introduction


This guide describes each feature of Siebel Field Service, and provides the information required for configuring and administering this application.

Although job titles and duties at your company may differ from those listed in the following table, the audience for this guide consists primarily of employees in these categories:

Database Administrators

Administrators who administer the database system, including data loading, system monitoring, backup and recovery, space allocation and sizing, and user account management.

Installers

Persons responsible for setting up Siebel Field Service for initial use.

Marketing Administrators

Administrators who set up and maintain a marketing department. Their duties include designing and managing campaigns, product marketing information, and product distribution lists.

Siebel Application Administrators

Administrators who plan, set up, and maintain Siebel applications.

Siebel Application Developers

Developers who plan, implement, and configure Siebel applications, possibly adding new functionality.

Service Center Administrators

Administrators who set up and maintain a service center.

Siebel System Administrators

Administrators responsible for the whole system, including installing, maintaining, and upgrading Siebel applications.
