Associating Contacts with Opportunities
A contact may be a source of revenue for your company. Potential revenue-generating events are called Opportunities. You will want to associate a contact with an existing opportunity to track information about both the opportunity and the contact. For more information, see Creating Opportunities.
To associate a contact with an existing opportunity
- Navigate to the Contacts screen.
- From the Show drop-down list, select My Contacts.
- In the Contacts list, select the contact with which the opportunity will be associated.
- From the Show drop-down list, choose Opportunities.
- In the Contact Opportunities view, tap the Opportunities list, and then tap the New Record button.
- In the Add Opportunities dialog box, select the opportunity to associate with the contact, and then tap OK.
Tap New to enter a new opportunity.
- My Team's Accounts. View information about active accounts managed by your team members.
- Activities. Respond to customer inquiries, quote requests, and perform account-related administrative tasks. Fore more information, see Creating Activities.
- Contacts. Associate business contacts to accounts.
- Addresses. Enter primary and secondary address information for accounts.
- Opportunities. Associate accounts with existing opportunities. For information on creating new opportunities, see Creating Opportunities.
