Adjusting Compensation Balances


In some circumstances, you may not want to release the entire balance due an employee. For example, if an order is being returned for a refund, you may want to hold back part of the balance because the sales representative's commission will be affected by the order return.

To adjust a balance

  1. From the application-level menu, choose View > Site Map > Incentive Compensation Tracking > Payment Release.
  2. In the Payment Release list, select the payment release.
  3. In the Payment Release Details list, select the employee whose balance you want to adjust, and in the Adjustment field, click the calculator button to enter an amount and choose the currency.
  4. The Release Amount is automatically adjusted.

  5. In the Payment Release Details record, enter comments describing the adjustment.
