Releasing Compensation Information


After you execute a calculation run with the Archive check box selected (flag set to True), you can release the calculation run, which include the earnings in the employee balances, and also allows payees to review the calculation data.

You can continue to adjust and make final changes to the compensation for the period before employees see it. The employees who are being compensated cannot view the compensation amounts until they are released, unless you set the Visible flag (select the check box) on the Calculation Run record. When the run is Visible but not Released, it is not included in the Employee Balances.

NOTE:  A Calculation Run cannot be released unless it is executed with the Archive for Release check box flag selected.

To release compensation information

  1. From the application-level menu, choose View > Site Map > Incentive Compensation Tracking > Calculation Runs.
  2. In the Calculation Runs list, select the run you want to release.
  3. In the Calculation Runs list click the menu button and choose Release.
  4. After the calculation run is released, a check mark appears in the Released field in the Calculation Runs list. The Run Date field is populated with the date and time the run is released.

After the calculation run has been released to end users, you cannot run the calculation engine for the same combination of run name and period. If you want to run the calculation engine for the same period, you must create a new calculation run with same period.
