Submitting a Sales Hierarchy Version for Approval


Each sales hierarchy territory must be submitted for approval before the sales hierarchy version is submitted.

To submit a sales hierarchy version for approval

  1. From the application-level menu, choose View > Site Map > Incentive Compensation Sales Hierarchies Administration > Sales Hierarchy Admin Explorer.
  2. In the Explorer tree, expand the Sales Hierarchy folder, and then click the Sales Hierarchy Versions folder.
  3. In the Version list, select the sales hierarchy version, and in the Status field, choose Submitted from the drop-down list.
  4. Save the record.
  5. The Submitted To and Submitted Date fields are automatically completed. After the sales hierarchy version is approved, it becomes read-only.

    CAUTION:  If you plan to submit and approve the sales hierarchy using the same login user, make sure you save the record explicitly after you change the status to Submitted. When the same user login changes the status to Submitted, and then immediately changes the status to Approved without saving the record first, the sales hierarchy is invalid although the status looks correct in the user interface.
