Updating the Category Item Count

The category item count displayed at run time reflects the total number of items in each category. You must update it after adding new products to categories.

To update the category item count

  1. Navigate to Catalog Administration.

    2. The Catalogs list appears.

  2. Click the name of a catalog.

    3. The Categories list displays the categories belonging to that catalog.

  3. Select a category.
  4. Click the menu button under the Categories tab, and then choose Update Count.

    5. The category item count is updated for that category.
