Associating Rule Sets With Applets

You use the Rule Sets list under the Applets list to associate existing rule sets with applets.

For information on creating rule sets, see Creating Rule Sets.

To associate rule sets with an applet

  1. Navigate to Site Map > Personalization Administration > Applets.
  2. Select the applet to which you want to associate a rule set.
  3. Add a new record to the Rule Sets list below the Applets list.
  4. Click the icon in the Name field.
  5. Select a rule set, and then click Go.

    6. The rule set is added to the Rule Sets list.

  6. Fill in the necessary fields.

    Description
    Sequence
    Choose the order in which the rule sets will be evaluated.
    Start Date
    The date when the conditional expression starts to be evaluated. If Start Date is blank, the conditional expression is evaluated continuously or until the End Date is reached.
    End Date
    The date after which the conditional expression is not evaluated.
    If End Date is blank, the conditional expression is evaluated continuously after the Start Date. If both Start and End Date are blank, the conditional expression is always evaluated.
    Conditional Expression
    Causes the rule set to be processed if the expression evaluates to TRUE.
