Setting the Visibility of an Applet
Visibility of applets is set in the Applets view under Personalization Administration.
To set the visibility of an applet
- Navigate to Site Map > Personalization Administration > Applets.
- Query for the desired applet.
- If that applet is not available, create a new record in the Applets list.
- Click the icon in the Name field.
- The Pick Applet dialog box appears.
- Query for the desired applet, and then click OK.
- Fill in the remaining fields as follows.
Field Description Start Date The date after which the conditional expression is evaluated. If Start Date is blank, the conditional expression is evaluated continuously or until the End Date is reached. End Date The date after which the conditional expression is not evaluated.If End Date is blank, the conditional expression is evaluated continuously after the Start Date. If both Start and End Date are blank, the conditional expression is always evaluated. Conditional Expression An expression that causes the applet to display when the expression evaluates to TRUE, and not to display when it evaluates to FALSE. Enter the expression as text or click on the button to use the Expression Editor. Leaving the Expression field blank is equivalent to an expression that is always TRUE.For information on conditional expressions, see Conditional Expressions.
