Bidding Rules Used with an English Auction

In an English auction, winners are determined by ranking their bids in order of highest price and then earliest bid time. Offers posted to an English auction can be multi-item or single-item quantity.

In multiple-quantity auctions, several factors can influence the bidding logic used in an English auction. The use of AutoBid (Maximum Bid Amount) and the Accept Partial Quantity option with multiple-quantity auctions plays a large role in determining winning bid amounts and auction winners.

The S_SYS_PREF that influence auction outcome include eAuc:AutobidToReservePrice, eAuc:BidTimeTieBreakOption, and eAuc:EnforceExactBidIncrement.
