Using Bulk Upload

You can upload and create multiple auction items using the bulk upload feature. The bulk upload feature requires that you set up an XML file that contains data for the auction items you want to create.

For more information about bulk upload, including how to set up the XML file and how to convert your graphics to the proper format, see Using Bulk Upload to Add Multiple Auction Items.

To bulk upload items

  1. From the Auctions screen, click Bulk Upload.

    2. The Catalogs screen appears.

  2. Click the hyperlink for the catalog that will contain the uploaded items.

    3. The Category screen appears.

  3. Select one or more categories and click Select in the Categories list.
  4. In the Selected Categories list, click Continue.

  5. Click Find File.

    6. The Bulk Upload dialog box appears.

  6. To find the file you want to upload, click Browse.

    7. The Choose File dialog box appears.

  7. Navigate to the file you want to upload and double-click the file.

    8. The file name appears in the Bulk Upload dialog box.

  8. Click Import to complete the upload process.

    9. The auction items are added to the eAuction catalog.

    NOTE:  If you encounter an error message during the bulk upload process, contact your Siebel eAuction administrator for assistance.
