Background Server Components

DCommerceAlerts and DCommerceAutoClose are background server components. The global administrator may wish to change the default parameters or specify new parameters.

For example, DCommerceAlerts has a parameter called WakeUpTimes that is a comma-separated list of minutes from midnight to wake up and start processing auction alerts each day. The default value for WakeUpTimes is 180,720,900, which directs the DCommerceAlerts background server component to wake up at 3 am, 12 pm, and 3 pm to process alerts. These times can be changed by the administrator.

NOTE:  AutomaticCloseInterval is the interval (in seconds) between executions of the automatic close process. For example, if AutomaticCloseInterval is set to 3600, auctions will be closed every hour.
