Setting Up WORLDTAX on UNIX

The setup is done using the WORLDTAX Toolkit.

To set up WORLDTAX

  1. Use XStart to run wttoolkit.

    2. The WORLDTAX toolkit launches.

  2. Set up user names and passwords.
  3. Check the environment variables.
  4. Choose Tools > Load Files to load the Standard Information and Standard Rate Master File and Commodity/Service Master File.

    5. This can take up to an hour and use 400 MB of disk space.

  5. Choose Utilities > Company Information File to enter company information.
  6. Choose Utilities > Commodity > Service Code Conversion to convert Siebel product numbers to Taxware Commodity/Service codes.
