Browsing for Version Sets

Publisher lets you browse the production environment to display a list of version sets for a view. You must specify the application name, job type, view type, and view name.

Note that although you can see a list of version sets, there is no immediate way of knowing what is different about each set other than the timestamp. Some version sets could extract new data, or have changes to business logic, text, advertisements, etc. You can look at a file directly to determine what it does; see Viewing the Contents of a Design File.

To browse for a list of the version sets published for a job:

1.   Click Browse on the Publisher menu. The Browse Version History screen appears.

2.   From the drop-down menus, choose the application, job type of the version sets you want to view, view type, and view name.

3.   Click Browse Version History. If the search is successful, Publisher displays the Version History screen listing each file in the version sets as links. If more than one Version Set is found, eaDirect uses alternating colors to differentiate them in the list. To view the content of a design file, click the design file name link on the Version History screen.

If the search is unsuccessful, Publisher displays the message "There is no version set available to browse."
