Creating a New Placeholder Definition

To create a placeholder definition, perform these tasks:

1. In the menu on the Site Assets pane, select Placeholder Definitions.

2. Click the Create New icon (Figure), select New, and then Placeholder Definition.

   The Assign Info Form displays for you to check the item into the content server.

3. Enter appropriate values for the Assign Info Form.

4. When complete, click Assign Info.

5. The placeholder definition is created. It may be necessary to click the Refresh icon (Figure) to view the placeholder definition in the list.

When the placeholder definition is created, you can then open it for editing and assign region definitions, region templates, subtemplates, and other specific aspects of contributor access.
