About Contributor Data Files

A contributor data file is an XML file, introduced by Site Studio, and intended to be opened and edited using the Contributor application. When the content in the contributor file is associated to a placeholder, then the contributor can access the data as defined through the element definitions in place in the region template. After the contributor makes changes to the data file, the file is immediately updated and added to the web page.
