This product includes a "usage reporter" which, with your permission, can collect data about how this product is used. This topic answers questions related to the usage reporter, describing the information collected.

The usage reporter gathers information about certain user actions and sends the information to BEA. The IDE team uses the information to improve future versions.

No. The information gathered cannot be traced back to a particular system or user.
Yes. At any time, you can choose the Help > BEA Usage Reporting menu command, and opt out using the resulting dialog. No further information will be gathered unless and until you opt back in.
Yes. The last block of data reported to BEA Systems' usage reporting server is stored in:
<workspace directory>/.metadata/.plugins/com.bea.workshop.common.usagetrack/last_message.xml
The block will be overwritten with new data each time a report is sent.
The feature is turned on by default. During initial launch, the user interface provides an option to turn reporting off; to do so, be sure to make the appropriate change in the user interface and click OK.
After you install this product, you can turn the feature on or off through this product preferences dialog box.
