Publishing WSDL Services

This publishing service differs from Publish Service in that only raw empty records are returned. All but the required properties of the records generated through this process will need to be edited manually.

To Publish an XML Resource

  1. If you have not done so, Log in to your user profile.

  2. Click the Catalog tab in the top left of the console.

  3. Expand the Resources node by clicking on its Expansion icon. This is the small box with the plus sign in the center.

  4. Click the WSDL node. This will load the WSDL Resources view in the centeral panel.

  5. Click the Create a WSDL resource link.

  6. In the Location edit box enter a URL from which the WSDL document can be retrieved. You might also want to add a Description to help users understand how its definitions are intended to be used.

  7. Click the Finish button. Messages will load indicating all of the resources that have been published. These can include service, interface and endpoint records. To view record details click the links made from their resource names.

Note that the WSDL is parsed into its constituent resources - interface (portType), service, and endpoint (port) where they exist. Only in the case where a WSDL contains a service and port type will it be listed as a "WSDL Resource" which is an alias for stripped down "Service".
