This is a text description of ofsman_failoverpolicy.gif, which displays the Oracle Fail Safe Manager window. The database resource, SAMPLEDB.us.oracle.com is selected from the tree view, and the Policies property page is open. The fields are set as follows:

• Pending Timeout: 180 seconds

• "Looks Alive" Interval: Specify value: 10000 Millisecs is selected.

• "Is Alive" Interval: Specify value: 60000 Millisecs is selected.

• Restart Policy: "Attempt to restart the resource on the current node 3 times within 900 seconds" is selected.

• Failover Policy: "If the resource fails and is not restarted, fail over the group" is selected.
