Requirements for Employee Applications (High-Interactivity Mode)

This topic lists the requirements for employee applications. For an explanation of employee applications, see Deployment Modes for Siebel Business Applications.

Note the following information about browser support:

• 32-bit versions of Internet Explorer 6.0, Internet Explorer 7.0, and Internet Explorer 8.0 are supported for employee applications.
• 64-bit versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, Internet Explorer 7.0, and Internet Explorer 8.0 are not supported for use with the ActiveX client.

Each supported browser requires installation of the Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.4.2 or above. For more information about the high-interactivity client, see Siebel Deployment Planning Guide on the Siebel Bookshelf.

NOTE:  Tabbed browsing is supported with Siebel applications for one active session. Multiple Web pages may be opened using tabbed browsing, but only one tab can have a live connection to a Siebel application at a given time.
