IPV6 Support

Siebel Business Applications interoperate with IPV6 for use with Siebel Server infrastructure. Siebel Server implementations may be in an IPv6-compliant network environment if the network stack also supports an IPv4 stack. IPv6 is transparent to Siebel applications if it is installed on the web server, and is only supported for web server and operating system combinations that Siebel applications support and that offer dual-stack IPv6 support. This support provides IPv6 connectivity for customer-facing web sites while also using IPv4 for communication across the DMZ to the intranet. It is recommended that you use the host name instead of the IP when configuring Siebel applications in environments that use IPV6 and IPv4 in a dual-IP-stack configuration.
