Setting Up Users' Machines to Operate in Silent Mode

If you have Administrator security, you can run Oracle BI Disconnected Analytics in silent mode or set up Oracle BI Disconnected Analytics to start automatically when you or users turn on or reboot a disconnected machine. When the Oracle Business Intelligence icon appears in the system tray at the bottom right of the taskbar, Oracle BI Disconnected Analytics is running. The following list describes how to run Oracle BI Disconnected Analytics in the background (silent mode):

  • Automatically start in silent mode. To set up a disconnected machine to automatically operate in silent mode, insert the following command in the startup folder of the disconnected machine:

    sadis.exe /s

Oracle BI Disconnected Analytics will be loaded and available for querying when you start up the disconnected machine. For more information about adding commands to the startup folder, see your Microsoft Windows manual.

  • Manually start in silent mode. Open a command line window and type the following command:

    sadis.exe /s.
