Creating and Configuring an Oracle Database on Windows
This section describes how to create and configure the
AquaLogic Interaction portal database on Oracle and Windows.
- Verify that the Oracle environment variables are properly
set.

- Copy the SQL scripts from the AquaLogic Interaction installation
directory to your Oracle server.
- For Oracle 9i, the ALI installer creates the SQL scripts in
the following directories:
- install_dir\ptportal\6.5\sql\oracle_nt9.2
- install_dir\aluidirectory\1.0\sql\oracle
- For Oracle 10g, the ALI installer creates the SQL scripts
in the following directories:
- install_dir\ptportal\6.5\sql\oracle_nt10
- install_dir\aluidirectory\1.0\sql\oracle
- Configure the portal database, tablespace, and user.
- Create the portal schema and initialize the portal database.
