This chapter provides an overview of the Campus Solutions Warehouse, the Campus Solutions Warehouse structure, and the Campus Solutions Warehouse components.
Understanding Campus Solutions Warehouse
PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Warehouse is a comprehensive reporting and analysis platform. It includes a multidimensional warehouse (MDW) infrastructure for operational and near real-time reporting. It also contains packaged marts that provide a key multidimensional analysis and reporting environment. These marts help you understand recruiting trends and their success in generating new students. They also help make clear the class and term enrollments trends, as well as provide information regarding the curricula offered and its effectiveness. Lastly, the marts will help you understand the financial transactions of students attending the institution as well as knowing who has received and benefited from financial aid as part of their Academic career.
With PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Warehouse, you can review data against organizational metrics and perform strategic analyses to identify and track the multiple dimensions that affect profitability, and identify key performance drivers, trends and opportunities, and so on. You are able to organize information into several easy-to-manipulate dimensions, including: Business Unit, Academic Career, Academic Program, Academic Plan, Academic Subplan, Institution, Term, Admit Type, Recruiting Category, Referral Source, Application Method. You can take action on those issues that will most directly optimize business performance and influence profitability with measures and derived metrics such as Admissions Rate, Prospect Count, Application Count, Enrollment Rate and Graduation Rate.
PeopleSoft delivers the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Warehouse complete with extract, transform, and load (ETL) maps, data models, data marts, and a library of key performance metrics. PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Warehouse combines the various dimensions, measures, and limited derived metrics into prepackaged Campus Solutions -specific analysis and sample reports. PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Warehouse also includes the tools that enable modifying or adding to the predefined reporting content
Note. For details of dimensions, see the PDF file that is published on CD-ROM with your documentation.
Understanding the Campus Solutions Warehouse StructurePeopleSoft marts are subsets of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Warehouse and are the foundation for the reporting applications. Marts are subject-specific relational schemas created for a particular group of users for multidimensional analysis and reporting. Each core functional area of the warehouse has predefined marts. PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Warehouse includes the Admissions Mart, Student Records Mart, and Student Financial Services Mart.

Campus Solutions Warehouse marts and business processes
Each mart is associated with a business process or processes that helps you to answer the questions you need to keep your organization robust and ahead of its competition. With each mart, we present the fact tables that will help you answer your critical business questions.
