Approve or deny actions

The Events tab enables you to view the actions that are currently pending and that require your approval. You specify the actions that require approval when defining actions and action pipelines as part of policies. For more information, see Define and assign policies.

If you are logged into the WLOC Administration Console at the time that the adjudication request is sent, a pop-up displays requesting your confirmation (if popups are enabled, as described in Set console preferences). Additionally, the request appears on the Pending Approvals tab on the Events page and a message displays in the Tasks and Events viewer indicating that there is a pending approval (until there are no more pending approvals).

When you approve or deny an action, the response displays on both the Tasks and Events viewer and Events page. If you respond to an action that has already been approved or denied, a message indicating that another response was initiated is displayed on both the Tasks and Events viewer and Events page.

To approve or deny action:

  1. Click the Events tab in the WLOC navigation bar to access the Events page.
  2. Click the Pending Approvals tab on the Events page.
  3. To filter the list of pending approvals, enter Column=Value in the text box and click Filter.

Column specifies the table column name on which you want to sort. Value specifies a string value on which to filter the contents. To clear the filter, click Clear Filter.

  4. Click the check box next to each pending approval that you want to approve or deny.
  5. Click Approve or Deny to approve or deny the action, respectively.
