IPortletRequest.GetSettingValue Method

Gives the value for any portal preference associated with this portlet.

string GetSettingValue(
SettingType type,
string name
);

Parameters

type: The type of setting (Admin, Community, CommunityPortlet, Portlet, Session, User, or UserInfo).
name: The name of the setting.

Return Value

The value of the setting and null if the setting was not sent.

Remarks

This method replaces the Get*Setting() methods in the 3.5 GDK.

Exceptions

Exception Type	Condition
NotGatewayedException	The request is not gatewayed.
