Files
This appendix describes how to modify the portal configuration
files.
- Oracle WebCenter Configuration ManagerOracle WebCenter Configuration Manager enables you to manage the configuration settings of Oracle WebCenter products through a user interface rather than having to edit .xml files. This section describes the settings in the Portal Service section of the Configuration Manager.
- Configuring Portal Settings Using the Portal UtilityIf host names or IP addresses change after your initial deployment, you can use the Portal Settings Utility to modify portal URLs.
- Modifying the portalconfig.xml FileIf your configuration requirements change after initial deployment, you can modify the portalconfig.xml configuration file located in the PT_HOME/settings/portal directory. PT_HOME is the Oracle WebCenter installation directory, for example, C:\bea\alui or /opt/bea/alui.
- Customizing the Tokens in Friendly URLsBy default, the portal areas are represented by the following tokens in friendly URLs: mypage, community, user, directory, document, and gw. However, the portal administrator can change these tokens to fit the needs of the company.
- About Fine-Tuning the Search Service ConfigurationThe installer sets most Search Service configuration parameters to useful defaults. In addition to the default configuration file, the Install_Dir/ptsearchserver/10.3.0/config directory includes template configuration files for Search Service deployments.
